The Chamaerops Humilis is a plant that grows to a height of 6 meters and a spreading habit that shows gender shrub (often with multiple stems of different heights). The leaves are fan-shaped and very similar to those of Chamaerops Excelsa, as the flower (but is less conspicuous). It 'a kind of less rustic Chamaerops Excelsa, which needs to be protected and sheltered areas to colder climate of Northern Italy.

The Chamaerops Excelsa (Trachycarpus fortunei) is an evergreen plant by the slow pace of growth and shows an erect carriage and a tree trunk. The leaves are fan-shaped and are stiff and sharp, up to 60 cm and medium green (lighter infeirore the page). The flowers are lemon yellow and have many in clusters. It 'a very rustic plant, that grows well even in areas of northern Italy. Resistant to pollution and saltiness.
