It is a rustic exterior climbing plant, excellent for covering decorative walls and fences;
It has aerial roots that allow it to climb anchored firmly;
The leaves grow in groups of about 7-11 leaves; The margin of the leaf is slightly serrated;

The inflorescences are colors in shades of red and orange.

The leaves are oval, oblong, toothed, glossy green in spring and summer and red in autumn, and grow in pairs symmetrically around the branch.
It is moreover a climbing plant, that is "clings" with the suction cups which are located at the end of the branched tendrils of the leaves.
The flowers, orange-red, are grouped into peaks pedunculated and have a long tubular corolla about 4 or 5 cm ending with five lobes enlarged.
